Mindfulness - Based Eating Awareness Training 


The MB- EAT program is designed as as intervention for Binge Eating Disorder, Bulimia Nervosa, and to reduce cycles of dieting or other disordered eating behaviors. 

  • MB-EAT uses the practice of mindfulness to change eating habits

  • Mindfulness brings awareness and choice to: 

    • Difficult emotions (boredom, loneliness, sadness, anger)

    • Challenging thoughts - self-judgment, worry, "I ate this, so I may as well eat the whole thing"

    • Developing skills and options to numbing with food, Energy value of food, quality, healthy eating model, portion sizes, meal timing and frequency

The program details: 

  • 12-week cycle 

  • 90-minute group per week 

  • Closed group to build on skills week-to-week 

  • Accepting referrals now for an early 2020 start date (space is limited)
